I, too, was quite impressed with the amount of accurate and interesting, but not over-the-top forensics information. You really used science to effectively advance the story. I say all this because I wrote the book Police Procedure and Investigation, A Guide For Writers. I wrote this book because I had grown tired of authors using TV as a research tool. In fact, the last chapter in the book is called CS I Don't Think So! I also speak for writers conferences all across the country, teaching writers about police procedure/CSI/forensics. Anyway, great job. The book was fantastic. I can't wait to read the next one. If you're ever stuck on a particular police-type/evidence/procedure, etc. problem please feel free to call on me. By the way, you have a great agent. Jean Naggar is a wonderful lady. Lee Lofland www.leelofland.com |
