there are 3 former attorneys whose writing i enjoy, you being one of them. i have come to believe that all your (the 3 of you) stories are embroidered autobiographies since all the main characters become disaffected with law and retire to something else. then i read "the burning man." what a refreshing change: someone who actually grew into the legal profession and a 3-dimensional character. you are a great story-teller, but i am thankful for the change in scenery. thanx!megan

Megan: "The Burning Man" is very loosely based on a murder case I handled. In real life, I loved being a lawyer and had a very exciting career for 25 years. Phil
