I hadn't read a book in many, many years.  I went on a camping trip with my family, and bought Lost Lake to bring  with me.  I started the read around the campfire, and I couldn't put the book down.  It jumpstarted my reading again, and now I look for all P. Margolin books when I go to the book stores.  Thanks for opening eyes/mind again.

Steve: The absolute best posts I get are from people who don't like to read or haven't been into reading for a while and who get started again because they have fun reading one of my books. There are a lot of other good authors out there. Enjoy! Phil

Phil Margolin,

Totally enjoyed reading Lost Lake last week while in Manzanita. Picked up a copy of Proof Positive when I got back to Portland to take on an August fishing trip. So....any chance you're the guy my wife and I talked to on the beach about 07/12, walking a Bulldog named Maxwell? I had just finished the book that morning and thought it seemed too coincidental to be true, but hesitated to ask. Met you one time at Murder by the Book, but I had a paperback copy last week without your photo.

Tom: I'm glad you enjoyed "Lost Lake." Sorry, but I'm not the guy you met. I don't own a dog and I was in Portland working on my next book on July 12. I hope you catch a lot of fish. Phil
