I have to ask. Did anyone read Nelson DeMille's The General's Daughter? I kept thinking back on that novel when reading this one. Not because they're similar, in my humble opinion, but because that phrase kept coming up.

I loved this novel. It was very well written. I also like how Phil named Ami Verango after his own daughter, if I'm not mistaken.
